We handle your financial data with care. Here is exactly what we collect, why we collect it, and how it is protected — including special rules for your PAN and credit report.
Full name, date of birth, gender, PAN card number (encrypted at rest using AES-256), Aadhaar number (optional, last 4 digits only).
Email address, mobile number, residential address.
Monthly income, employment type, employer name, business details (for self-employed applicants), existing EMIs and liabilities.
Credit report data retrieved via soft inquiry from CIBIL or other licensed credit bureaus. This includes your credit score, repayment history, and outstanding credit.
Pages visited, loan types searched, offers viewed, device type, IP address, and session data collected via cookies and analytics.
To match you with appropriate lending partners based on your financial profile and loan requirement.
To run a soft credit inquiry on your behalf for comparison purposes — this does not affect your CIBIL score.
To verify your identity and prevent fraud.
To communicate with you about your application, offers received, and platform updates.
To improve our matching algorithms and platform experience using aggregated, anonymised data.
Your PAN number is encrypted at rest using AES-256 and is never stored in plain text.
Your PAN is NOT shared with any lending partner during the comparison stage. Lenders receive a redacted financial profile — not your identity.
Your PAN is shared with a lender ONLY when you explicitly select that lender for a final offer and provide your consent at that step. You will see a clear confirmation prompt before any PAN disclosure occurs.
You may request deletion of your PAN from our systems at any time by emailing privacy@comparaloan.in. Deletion requests are processed within 7 business days.
Credit reports retrieved during the comparison process are stored securely on encrypted servers within India.
Credit report data is retained for 90 days from the date of retrieval. After 90 days, the full report is permanently deleted. Your credit score and high-level profile summary may be retained for up to 12 months for internal fraud prevention purposes.
You may request early deletion of your credit report data by contacting privacy@comparaloan.in.
We do not sell, rent, or transfer your credit report to any third party other than the lending partners you explicitly choose.
During comparison: lenders receive a redacted financial profile — income, liabilities, credit score band, loan type requested. Your name, PAN, phone number, and email are not shared.
After you choose a lender for final offers: the selected lender receives your full application details including identity information, subject to your explicit consent at that step.
All lending partners on our platform are bound by confidentiality agreements and are required to comply with applicable Indian data protection laws.
We do not share your data with advertisers, marketing companies, or unrelated third parties.
We use essential cookies to maintain your session and platform functionality. These cannot be disabled.
We use analytics cookies (via privacy-compliant tools) to understand how users interact with the platform. These are anonymised and do not track you across other websites.
We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking pixels.

Request deletion of your account and associated data, subject to legal retention requirements.
Withdraw consent for data processing at any time. This may affect your ability to use the platform.
All data is transmitted over TLS 1.2+ encryption. Sensitive fields (PAN, financial data) are additionally encrypted at rest using AES-256.
Access to your personal data within our systems is restricted to authorised personnel on a need-to-know basis.
We conduct regular security audits and penetration testing. In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities within 72 hours as required by law.
Our servers are hosted in India in ISO 27001-certified data centres.
